The new Richard Mille RM 67-02 version brings strange colors to Ultralight packaging
This fall, Richard Mille’s latest lightweight shoes introduced some very strange colors.
To be fair, we will never be surprised by Richard Mille’s weird colors anymore. Between the green Yohan Blake model, Ronald MacDonald who almost looked for RM 27-03 for Rafael Nadal, and countless other bold creations over the past few years, Richard Mille is no stranger to the premise of “getting big or going home”. Look at the design perspective from a technical point of view. With the latest release of RM 67-02 Editions, the brand has created three limited edition watches to add luster to the wrists of world-class athletes. As the brand’s polarization, this is once again an impressive feat for RM, as these watches will see strict responsibilities behind the wheel of tennis courts, ski resorts and one of the fastest competing World Rally Championship cars. .
First of all, regardless of the color palette, RM 67-02 is a truly impressive work. The simple chronograph movement uses grade 5 titanium to make the hollow bridge and main bridge, and has an excellent overall finishing level. Various DLC finishes are used to provide the required contrast between components, and transparent Incabloc shock absorbers are used to provide significant movement protection. With a lightweight fabric strap, the weight of the entire watch—and so on—is only 32 grams. After testing/trying on the first example of 67-02 launched last year, this level of lightness is hard to get your brain around unless you experience it for yourself. As an interesting comparison, 12 ounces of sugar contains more grams of sugar. A can of Coca-Cola (39 to be precise) is more than the titanium and composite materials in this watch.
These will not be limited editions, but mass production models, although knowing that these new versions of Richard Mille will undoubtedly be in short supply. The first example of German tennis player Alexander Zverev mixed carbon TPT and red quartz TPT in its sandwich case structure. World rally champion Sebastien Ogier’s case uses a case made entirely of carbon fiber TPT with a contrasting royal blue strap, while the case of French skier Alexis Pinturault is white Quartz TPT is made on the front and back, and the black quartz TPT contrasts sharply with the case.
Richard Mille RM 67-02 Sprint and high jump, aerodynamics and ultralight
From August 5th to 13th, the 2017 World Athletics Championships will witness a great sporting feat. The London Olympic Stadium is preparing to welcome the great track stars who wear Richard Mille’s work on their wrists. Wayde Van Niekerk and Mutaz Essa Barshim will compete with RM 67-02 Sprint and RM 67-02 High Jump, which are two sports versions of RM 67-01.
The company once again broke through the limits of high-tech watchmaking, creating a watch suitable for athletes, like a second skin, creating a symbiotic relationship between them. Olympic gold medalist and 400m and 300m world record holder Wade Van Nicok is the only athlete to drop from 100m in 10 seconds and 200m in 20 seconds at the same time, 31 within 300 and 44 seconds of 400m.
Richard Mille (cheap Richard Mille) as the new collaborator, high jump expert Mutaz Essa Barshim. The Qatari is a double medalist at the Olympic Games and has achieved four world best results in the past five years. He is a popular candidate to obtain a world record in the subject. RM 67-01 is known for its lightness, refinement and ergonomics. The watchmakers of the fashion house work on their lines to affirm their athletic character. The watch enhances its structure with the four characteristic scallops of Richard Mille sports watches.
Its case is made of TPT carbon and TPT quartz, which is Richard Mille’s unique composite material, which has stronger impact resistance. The thickness of the bezel/edge/back cover-7.80 mm-does not change its physical characteristics or its ability to withstand all advanced sports practice situations. The manufacture of TPT quartz consists of interlayers of silica fibers with a maximum thickness of 40 microns. The layers are placed with the help of a specific machine. The direction of the fibers in each layer is changed by 45° and impregnated with three new resins: one purple resin for Mutaz RM 67-02 high jump and two others, green and Yellow, used in the RM 67-02 Sprint of Wayde, South Africa. The TPT carbon fiber used at the edges was created using the same procedure, but using carbon fiber thread
The tight lines of TPT carbon fiber and platinum rotors, bridge plates and grade 5 titanium metal plates processed by DLC-as if under tension, the brand’s new ultra-fine caliber CRMA7 highlights the sporty characteristics of this bracelet-based watch. It takes at least two hours of processing time to obtain an extreme platen frame, which brings hundreds of hours of machine programming and adjustment to an end.
The gear set is optimized by adopting a specific tooth profile, and the pressure angle reaches 20°, which can transfer the power from the barrel to the variable inertia flywheel excellently, thus ensuring a constant gear for 50 hours. The CRMA7 movement exudes a powerful sense of power with satin, beveled hands and sharp lines. The dial is processed from a titanium plate of only 0.4 mm thick, and its lines complement the movement. It was processed with black DLC and then hand-painted in the colors of the flags of the two athletes.
These pieces are equipped with a new bracelet to provide extra comfort. It is a non-slip strap made of a single piece with enhanced elasticity, allowing it to fit the wrist perfectly and adapt to various shapes. This is the lightest strap created by the company and reduces the weight of the RM 67-02 to only 32 grams. The RM 67-02 is the lightest automatic fake watch in the Richard Mille series.
